Wow, wow, wow. I cannot begin to express my joy and gratitude for what transpired at our place on Sunday. I have been a broken record for the last two days but I am so overwhelmed I cannot begin to find words enough to thank our participants and models.
I'm not gonna lie. I cried real tears, tears of joy, on Monday when the feedback and images began to roll in on Facebook, by email, and through phone calls. I'm sitting here crying again as I type. I truly mean it when I say there are no words...

Ms. Jennifer McDougall
Jenn has been on the very periphery of my world since I was about 15 years old. It's taken several years, but I'm so glad to have Jenn in my life as a friend. I can't wait to spend more time out "playing" together! Check out Jenn's work here.

Ms. Jessica MacDonald
I photographed Jessica's wedding last year! So happy to see her again. Jessica is one of those people who is just naturally artistic. She is also a phenomenal jewellery designer. I need to get on getting some of her feather earrings. You can see and buy Jessica's work here.

Ms. Tracy Creighton
Devin and I are photographing Tracy and Jim's wedding this fall and we recently shot their engagement session. I kinda love Tracy. She is laid back and relaxed. Tracy is also a fellow photographer and you can find her work here.

I recently took notice of Merisa when she posted images of her brand new baby girl. Photographing babies is hard work and her images of her little girl are unreal. Merisa needs to seriously consider that photographing babies might just be her calling! check out Merisa's work here.

             images that look great straight out of camera.  We will talk gear, posing, styling,
             collaborating with clients, lighting including ambient and off camera flash, location
             scouting, raw processing, photoshop, etc.  As well, if there is interest we will
             discuss some business aspects of photography.  We will have several models
             available for small work groups.  We want you to come away with some new tips,
             tricks and ideas and have the chance to try it all out.    
When:   Sunday September 11, 2011 from 12-9(ish)pm.  Supper will be included.  Why such
             a late start you ask?  We love to shoot into and past sunset and sunset on   
             September 11th is at 7:45pm.
Where:  At the newly renovated Van Steelandt Photography Studio located on a beautiful 81
            acres 15 minutes north of Prince Albert.
Cost:    $450 including supper.

When I first ventured into professional photography I was terrified of sharing what I learned. I thought if I gave away all my ideas and knowledge, people would lose interest in what I had to offer.  I'm a little embarrassed to admit that. Especially since at that time, what I knew and what I had to offer was so little.  I've found it to be very true that "the more I learn, the less I know".  I'm at a place where I'm comfortable with the way I shoot and the images I create.  I'm really excited to share what I've picked up along the way and I am excited about what more I might learn by teaching something I'm so passionate about.
