What an amazing experience this wedding was!
Meagan and Joe were married over three hundred kilometres north of Prince Albert in Saskatchewan's oldest church at Stanley Mission.  Guests were shuttled to the event in chartered busses then given boat tours to some of Saskatchewan's largest waterfalls!!
Congratulations Meagan and Joe!

For every wedding we shoot we includes a DVD of high resolution images and probably the #1 question we're asked is "Are the images included on the DVD edited?"

The wedding DVD is a collection of proofs from your wedding day.  We will shoot LOTS of images on your wedding day. Then we will cull them and present you with everything worth reviewing. These proofed images have been raw edited for exposure, contrast, saturations, etc.

Here is a few examples of how the images look straight out of camera (SOOC), after they have been RAW edited (PROOF), and what they look like after a full photoshop edit (EDIT).  Please note that any album image or print that leaves our studio has a full photoshop edit.

Looking forward to  some wonderful wedding in 2011!

It's great how close your SOOC is to the final edit, I like how the final edit isn't really obvious that it has been tinkered with - it looks more natural that way.

Oh my. My blog is sorely neglected. I just can't seem to keep everything updated. I've had two new websites in the works for almost two years too. Yikes!

What a phenomenal wedding! I don't know where to start. I'm posting this in two entries because I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites. Every detail was perfect.merc.jpg mercereau_0013.jpg

Nic and Kelly were so perfectly happy and overwhelmingly excited all day. It was infectious!
Nic got ready at her Mom's place while Kelly and the boys got ready at Nicole and Kelly's home.

See what I mean about "just so happy"?
Nicole's flowers were arranged by the uber talented Flowers By Fred. He did an awesome job and even weaved Nicole's late Grandmother's necklace into the arrangement.

September 13, 2009 // portraits / wedding
If you know anything about me, you know I love shooting where there's vehicles. Vehicles bring their own personality to the table and no two are alike. Even when you get the same make and model, they seem to take on personalities all their own.
So at a recent wedding, they had hired someone to drive a school bus to transport guests back to their hotel (GREAT IDEA!!). After we finished shooting for the evening, I thought I'd grab a couple volunteers to come out and let me play with them and the awesome bus! Well, it was a hit and so much fun. We ended up having a line up of people to volunteer and even the bride and groom joined the fun. Now this is my kinda photo booth!

He is a self proclaimed geek and she is a classic beauty. Erin and Mitchell could not be more perfect for each other. Their love is quiet and tender. It is seen in gentle caresses and heard in softly spoken words.
They both love the outdoors and celebrated their wedding by camping with friends and family at Emma Lake.
Erin got ready and waited for her Dad to arrive at the Bear Track Cabins, Christopher Lake;blog1.jpg _MG_2802.jpg
Isn't she just stunningly beautiful?!

One of my very favorite wedding moments is just after the Priest or Minister announces the couple as Husband and Wife for the first time. Look at how absolutely happy Erin and Mitchell are!
After lunch at the church we headed to the lake.

Congratulations! I hope your European honeymoon was blissful!
